So, after Baiona we went to Porto, famous for its Port, a type of fortified wine popularised by the British, personally I didn’t find it interesting, but I loved the ginormous soft whip, and the torture exhibition we went to the next day was horrifying, deathly and fascinating.
After that we arrived at Figueira da Foz where we got stuck for 1 .5 weeks.
Next we went to Péniche which was more of a checkpoint than a destination because I didn’t get off the boat and nor did Daisy, and then on to Cascais.
Once we’d installed new batteries we crossed to Oeiras which had a brilliant swimming pool which I believe is pretty rare in marinas. There were also diving boards at 3m high, 5m high and 7m high (we think) we stayed there for 5 days.
Then we did a gruesome 5 day sail with no warm-up to the Canary Islands, where we arrived day before yesterday in Las Palmas. Las Palmas is also the place from where we will depart to cross the Atlantic. Just to give you an idea of where we are, it’s west of central Morocco.

Super ton blog Hugo tu nous fais rever et participer à votre merveilleux voyage , je pense bien souvent à vous
ce week end nous étions sur le bateau d ´yseult et Nicolas, mon regard se perdait à l’horizon et je vous imaginais navigant sur cette mer, j’avais l’impression d’être plus proche de vous.
Tu as la chance de découvrir des cultures différentes par contre ton saut du plongeoir m’a fait frémir ! Ta grand mère est toujours plus inquiète …tu le sais!
